Re-entry

That first day or two when you come back from a vacation is a bit of a blur. Last night we returned from our trip to the Pacific Northwest, Seattle, and the Olympic National Park. It was a blast and I will share some photos with you in the coming days.  But first up, here is what I finished on vacation!

Socks from Vesper Sock in the Smoke on the Water colorway

This vacation I only took a pair of socks to work on. Before I left I still had 3+ inches to knit on the foot of the first sock (toe up). I finished the heel and the first sock while visiting Mt. Rainier. That trip was a lot of riding in a car.  The mate was cast on, but not worked on much over half the trip. This is because I forgot my knitting in Seattle when we went over to Victoria, British Columbia. Yup, 2 whole days and no knitting. Friday I knit the foot, heel and leg of the 2nd sock and bound off on the flight from Denver to Omaha. Love these socks!

Antler Hat knit with Malabrigo Rios

Every time I go somewhere on vacation I seem to find myself knitting myself a hat. This time I decided on the Antler Hat by Tincanknits. I loved this color of Rios (which I lost the label to).  This was finished on the plane ride to Seattle! Just in the knick of time!

So while not a lot of knitting was accomplished, it was still a great trip!

Until next time…

  1. Terrific projects you’ve accomplished on what sounds to be an awesome trip! I love knitting this toe up sock. Still trying to reach the before 2 in part.

  2. I also knit hats on vacation. I guess it is so easy to knit it in the car.
