3KCBWWC Day 2 – Wildcard

I’m skipping out on the Photography Challenge. I really take zero interesting photos of stuff. So instead I opted out and chose to go with the “Wildcard Day”!

Craft Your Perfect Day
Plan your fantasy day with your craft, It might just take up one hour of your day or be the entire focus of the day, but tell your readers where you’d love to craft, whether you’d craft alone or with friends, knitting or crocheting something simple or spending a day learning new skills.

A fantasy day knitting? Hmm….. so many things I could do with this one. I think the first on my list would be to have an unlimited amount of hours in that perfect day of knitting. No need to worry about going to work, or going grocery shopping. Sleep would be irrelevant too!

This would allow me to finish up all of those half done projects you see on the right hand side.  Once those are done, I would definitely hit up the yarn shop with my “fantasy unlimited budget” and purchase some new yarn.

My LYS has this section up front that has all sorts of colors of 100% cashmere. I would definitely be purchasing some of that to make myself a cowl, or a scarf. Perhaps even a sweater! Definitely something cozy!

After rolling in the cashmere for a while, I would pop over to the MadelineTosh and get some of my favorite colors. I recently received some MadTosh in a swap package and MUST HAVE MORE!

Following the MadTosh raid, I’d hit the wall of Malabrigo. Yes, my LYS has a wall of Malabrigo. Chunky, worsted, sock, arroyo, you name it. This would be made into the most luxurious blanket so I could wrap up in it!

After spending a good deal of time in the LYS I would probably call some friends over to knit. Since this is a fantasy our wine wouldn’t run out, we wouldn’t get completely toasted, and we could knit and gab for as long as we wanted without husbands calling to find out when we would be home.

Honestly the end of this lovely day must come around at some point, but we would leave with no mistakes in our knitting, perfectly fitting garments, and no finishing needing to be done. It would be simply perfect.

  1. I opted out of the photo challenge too – glad I wasn’t the only one. Your perfect day sounds fabulous to me. I’ll join you with the wine and knitting 🙂

  2. Love the sound of your day – especially the rolling in cashmere part! I think I might put that on my ‘things to do before I die’ list – because how great would it be to get to do that?!
